Our auditions are open, so you do not need to be a member to audition. Auditions are held in front of everyone else, but the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

- The Bishop’s Candlesticks
Author: Norman McKinnel

Cast: 3 Males and 2 Females
Age Group: 1 Male and 1 Female 70’s (ideally), 2 Males 40’s and 1 Female 20’s
Running Time: 30 minutes
Synopsis: This is an adaptation from an episode in Victor Hugo’s novel Les Misérables, that illustrates the transformative power of love, forgiveness, and mercy over punishment.

- Trifles
Author: Susan Glaspell

Cast: 3 Males and 2 Females
Age Group: 2 Males and 2 Female 50’s/60’s, 1 Female 30’s
Running Time: 20 minutes
Synopsis: 1920s Iowa a rich dominant natured farmer dead in his bed, not of natural causes. This award winning one act play is based on a true crime the author covered as a journalist.
A play of 7 characters, 5 of whom appear on stage as the investigation is conducted. The drama deals with the themes of suppression and its possible consequences, the importance of small things in life, revenge, misogyny, gender allegiance and law versus justice.

- Labhartar Bearla Anseo (Dialogue mostly trí Gaeilge)

Synopsis: Set in an Irish speaking hotel in Dublin in the 1920’s, chaos and farce ensues when a fake Interpreter mistranslates an Englishman’s efforts to find his eloping daughter and her vagabond boyfriend.
